Epic Fail.

I didn't take any pictures yesterday. None. Zero. Nada. I was not in the mood for people for one and for two it was hot and muggy & I just didn't want to lug it around. Yesterday was one of those days where the littlest of things could & would set me off. I'm tired of people's drama & ignorance that continually ruins EVERY holiday. If people would just use a grain of their common sense things would go a whole lot smoother. Unfortunately as dad says, "You can't fix stupid". Happy Sunday.

What's your favorite Michael Jackson song? Bonus points if you share the video.

Uhm next question because quite frankly I'm sick of hearing about him.

Crazy week!

I've not had much time and/or inclination to blog. I'm feeling very uninspired. However I've been reading a ton as usual and doing my thing. This week has been insane really so let me fell you in. The heat here has been very sauna like. We normally don't get this kind of weather until July or August but wow is it here soon. That's part of my disappearing act since my chair & laptop are extremely hot I just haven't felt like sitting in 'em long enough to do much of anything.

Tuesday morning our neighbor, Jhon had to be taken to the hospital due to complications from the colon cancer he's been fighting for 2 months. Then his wife who is also ill had to be rushed to the hospital a few hours later. We have taken in their 3 dogs until they are well enough to come home. Well we already had 3 dogs, now we have a total of 6 for awhile. Two of their dogs are outdoor dogs and are pretty much ok. However Buddy he's a bird dog that got dumped in our neighborhood a few years ago is insanely leary of anything and everything. He's needed a lot of reassuring etc to get use to his new home & to not be so skiddish of us. Add in everyone shooting off bottle rockets & the storms and it's been a up hill battle. The first night they were here I went to get him to put him in the kennel and he shot off so fast once I had the leash on him it jerked it right out of my hand. It took about 30 mins but we finally managed to get him inside.

Mimi is a wired hair terrier mix & she's an inside dog. Which is fine because we already have Beethoven inside however, the first night was a rough one. She is extremely babied & is close to Jhon and with him being gone and being in a new house she was a mess. She's familiar with me & so she won't leave my side, which caused a bit of an issue for Beethoven since he's my dog and felt like he wasn't getting the attention he was before she encroached in on his area. Plus he wouldn't leave her alone since he believes everyone is his friend and she snipped at him a few times. I thought it was going to be a problem but by the next day she was calmer & he knew he needed to leave her alone.

We've also been fighting Buddy breaking his chain....OY and of course Wal-Mart no longer sales dog chain. WHAT IS THAT?! You can be cables for runs & weird chain for tie outs but not normal run of the mill chain. I was beyone frustrated. We had to go to a hardware store today to get him new stuff to hold him.

On top of all that we're dealing with the neighbor 2 doors down allowing his boxer & beagle to run lose. They will leave for work in the morning & let the boxer out for the entire day. Then when they get home they let him in & back out later. Which was annoying in itself however they got a new dog (the beagle) a week ago. The boxer & beagle then were antogonizing my dogs from 9pm-12am, which IS a problem. I've talked to him once before about their boxer digging under our fence to get the chickens in the pasture next door & he pretty much said it was my problem. I had to call the police & the dog catcher for 3 days to have someone do something about it.

They've finally caught the boxer, or at least I think they have. The guys teenage daughter was crying to our other neighbor across the street yesterday about the boxer "missing". I have no sympathy whatsoever for someone who allows their dog to run freely for 8-10 hours then wants to cry about it when they're "gone". You should've cared BEFORE he was missing especially since she's been on summer vacation for 2 months.

Alright I'll stop before I write a book, ciao!

The trailer looks amazing!! Obviously the scenes aren't sequential. She's wearing different clothes yada yada I've heard it all already. I think the trailer looks amazing. Yes Jasper's hair looks different but they had to use a wig during this movie because he had to cut his hair for another movie. Jacob in his wolf form looked great. Yes it's CGI & yes it screams Golden Compass however it was better than I expected :) Here's to November!

Lightning.

Friday we had a insane thunderstorm which was throwing lightning everywhere. We have quite a few old established trees in our yard that take a beating each year from the weather & Friday wasn't any different. I was not home & I'm glad I wasn't because I'm sure I would've been hiding under the bed. Dad however was home.

Now for those of you who don't know my father he's definitely not afraid of much & never jumps at thunder or lightning. However the lightning bolt that hit the tree outside our kitchen window had him ducking for cover. When he looked up he thought his bronco had been hit because it was glowing. Poor Beethoven shot under the bed & wouldn't come out for the next 3 hours or so. It took dad 5 hours to get him back on the bed because Beethoven thought the bed had created the noise.

The tree is on the South side of our house & it shot debris into our neighbors yard on the North side of us. It was really insane. It also fried the cable, internet & phone along with messing up the gateway computer monitor & my television set. A rock from somewhere also broke our basement window. I have no clue where the rock came from since we mow & weed eat by the house so your guess is as good as mine. There's 2 holes in the ground from where the lightning came out of & they look like the ground just imploded by itself. Freaky stuff. Here's some pictures of the damage.

Rain, rain go away, come back another day. Like in the year 2525?! Please and thank you.

Yes I'm alive so hush, yes I know it's been over a month of no blogs from me. However the rain has inspired me to blog aka complain ;) It's been raining for the last week and the weather forecasters are calling for it to continue until next Wednesday. There's been flash floods, tornadoes and every possible severe weather alert you can think of in our area lately. Oy. It needs to stop.
